The Moody Eyes Comprehensive Eye Exam

Great vision care begins with a comprehensive eye examination.
At Moody Eyes all of our patients receive a 14-point evaluation of their eyes and visual system.
There is a difference in eye exams!

We perform a battery of preliminary tests.
These include a computerized measurement of your prescription and the curvature of your eyes.
We also check your vision through your current prescription.
We evaluate your pupil responses, eye alignment, ocular muscles, and check your peripheral vision.

It is important to exam the cornea, conjunctiva, lids, lens, and other structures at the front of your eyes.
This is particularly important for contact lens patients, who have a higher incidence of complications.

We examine the interior of your eyes in several ways:
1. We take digital photographs of all of our patients. This gives us a permanent record and baseline.
2. We look into your eyes with an instrument called an ophthalmoscope.
3. We recommend pupil dilation so we can get a better view.
Additional Eye Care We Provide

We thoroughly evaluate you cornea and recommend the appropriate contact lenses for your prescription and lifestyle.
We prescribe the latest in contact lens technology for clear, crisp vision and for the health of your eyes.
We strongly believe in 1-Day contacts - the best for your eyes and less expensive than you think.

At Moody Eyes we have a full range of auxiliary tests and equipment, including visual fields, digital
retina imaging, retinal photography, corneal thickness, and corneal curvature.
If you need additional testing we will schedule you back another day.
These auxiliary tests are often covered by your medical insurance plan.
A comprehensive eye examination involves much more than just reading the eye chart and checking your glasses prescription. At Moody Eyes we are committed to caring for your precious gift of sight with both quality eye care and quality optical materials.
We also diagnose and treat many eye conditions:
"pink eye", glaucoma, cataracts, scratched corneas, and
contact lens over-wear syndrome.
These office visits are typically covered by your major medical insurance plan.
