No Insurance? We have special packages and discounts for you.
It is a common misconception that private practice optometrists are more expensive
than chain and discount stores. Many of these discounters sell mostly discontinued
frames and older lens designs.
At Moody Eyes all of our frames are new with a one year warranty. We prescribe the best
lens designs and materials available. And our prices are the same or less than most of the
chain or retail optical stores.
Consider this: When you open the car door on a Lexus vs a Kia you can tell the difference.
When you invest in a quality pair of glasses you will also be able to tell the difference.

Custom Sunwear and Sunglass Lenses
If you need sunglasses, we offer customized prescription sun lenses, including Polarized and Mirror Lenses which are UVA and UVB absorptive and include a back surface AR, which is commonly available on premium non-prescription sunwear. These lenses can be manufactured for any frame we carry and the most popular sport or athletic frames that "wrap around the eyes" which provide maximal sun protection. You can choose a frame from our inventory or provide us your favorite frame and we can manufacture the best sunglass lenses for you.
Diabetic Eye Exams
Part of managing diabetes is to have an annual exam to monitor the development of diabetic retinopathy. This type of exam is covered by your medical insurance, even if you do not wear eyeglasses or contact lenses.
Glaucoma Exams and Treatment
Glaucoma
is a sight-threatening disease which experts say affects up to 5% of
the population. The major danger in glaucoma is there are no symptoms
early in its progress. Therefore, the only way to determine if you
have glaucoma is through a comprehensive eye exam and, often, special
testing. These special tests are usually covered by your medical
insurance.
